The Challenge

In a major South Korean warehouse owned by a global automobile manufacturer, they were utilizing Honeywell’s business barcode scanner to individually scan each barcode. Packages would arrive in large volumes – with barcodes on each box. The employees would then scan the barcodes and manually input the information into a software system. The complete process, including scanning the barcodes, verifying inbound documents, and entering the data into their ERP software, typically took about 2.5 days for an average inbound consignment consisting of 3 palettes.
